The Wit Gallery 2012 Charitable Campaign

We are still living in times when every donation counts. Last year, The Wit Gallery, its artists and collectors helped raise over $1000 in donations for local and national charities. The charities donated to ranged from organizations researching childhood and breast cancer, food bank support, programs for mentally challenged individuals, and community art programs. Our goal with The Art of Giving 2012 is to double the donations and charities given to this year. We need your help to do this.


You can help us to help others while receiving 20% in savings on the artwork that you purchase.


Receive 10% off the original price of selected artworks and we'll make a 10% tax-deductible donation to a charity in your name.


Each Artist participating in this campaign has generously selected a charity to benefit from part of the proceeds of their sales.* Here is a partial list of the artists and charities that they are giving to. About Scott Gordley :

Scott Gordley is currently Chair of the Department of Art & Design at Montclair State University in New Jersey. In addition to his art, Mr. Gordley is a jazz and blues saxophonist. The two loves came together in his exhibition of jazz paintings at the famed Apollo Theatre in New York City in the summer of 2008, and was considered a tribute to the history of Jazz.

Carol Started did not discover her artistic talents until after she retired from a 26 year career in the airline industry. Within a very short time of taking her first painting class, Ms. Staub’s artwork has has garnered over 70 National and International awards.

About Stanley Marcus:
At age 40, Stanley Marcus left the business world to fully pursue his lifelong interest in making art. Now in his eighties, Mr. Marcus continues to work at sculpting 7 days a week. He works primarily in cast and forged aluminum to which he will add glass elements as well as toy or real instruments. Mr. Marcus is recognized for his innovations in aluminum forges and is one of only a few artists working in cast aluminum.
